For this card I started off with a shop bought 6" x 6" scalloped edge card, I scored the back of the card and die cut the piece that my front panel was going to sit on, I then folded this and cut around it to save messing around with the die cut just in case I cut my card fold by mistake.
I die cut my outer edge onto a piece of copper satin finish card then added the texture by placing the pattern die in the die cutter with the embossing plates instead of the cutting plates. I added a sentiment panel which I lightly inked on the edge before mounting on 3d foam and sticking centrally onto the Deco panel. The panel was glued onto the card base matching the shape up exactly, I added a small section of cream card to the rear of the copper die cut that was exposed, just to neaten. The flowers were cut from the additional die which came in the Flora Topper die set, they were cut twice and layered for each one before adding a pearl to the centre, these were glued in place around the sentiment panel.
The 'door stop' for the easel to stand up against was simply made from a layer of copper card and a layer of cream which had the corners rounded off and a die cut Happy Birthday from the Pansy Topper die set was added before mounting on 3d foam on the card base. This was then finished off with just a few pearls.
I hope you like it,

DeleteLovely card, can anyone tell me if I am able to emboss using cutting dies with an ebosser and if so how please?
ReplyDeleteSorry, I've only just seen this, I don't have an ebosser to try but with my Grand Calibur I use the base plate and rubber mat with the embossing plate as if I was embossing a die after cutting it out for the extra detail. Hope this helps xx
