With Love New Home Card - Sentiment Panels

Another busy week with the children off school so I thought I would share this card I made while I've got 5 minutes!!

I made the cream pearlescent card blank and layered with gold mirror card before adding a matching cream pearlescent layer.  I cut two Emily corners from gold mirror card and added those to the prepared card front.  The Home Sentiment Panel was embossed onto another piece of matching cream and also cut out of matt gold card.  The cream one was cut out by hand and the gold one was glued on top, it was inked very lightly and mounted onto the card front with 3d foam pads.  I cut the couple, the heart frame and a backing from the First Dance Silhouette die set and layered these, popping some 3d foam behind before adding them to the card front.  I finally cut the With Love sentiment from the Pillow Box die set in gold mirror and cream, shadowing them before adding them to the card.  I finished the card off with some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bright Gold.

Sentiment Panels Good Luck In Your New Home Card

Today I have another card to show you which I made using the new Tonic Studios Sentiment Panels.

I used cream to make my card base scoring at the DL line on my score board and layering both the front and the inside with red then kraft card.  I cut the Home Sweet Home panel in the same cream card and paper pieced the door, curtains, hearts and bird, finally adding the roof, all out of red.

The gingham ribbon was edged with cream cotton lace before being stuck down on the inside, one of the sentiment toppers was lightly inked on the edges and added on top of this strip with a matching bow.  The good luck letters were cut from the Pretoria Duocap sets and were glued in place down the exposed edge of the card base.  The card was finished off with a bow on the front  tied from the cotton lace and a few Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bright Gold.

I hope you like it,

Spring Floral Tivoli Unit

What a busy couple of weeks it's been, Forever Moments to decorate, extra cards to make...

Here's one of my Forever Moments Units, I decorated this Tivoli Unit in floral papers in light spring shades, I've had the paper pack for some years, I think it may have been made by Papermania.  For the larger panels, I used some sheets out of a 12" x 12" pad I got from The Works.

I painted the carcass in Ivory along with the drawers  and cut the fronts out of the patterned paper.  The die cuts are from the Butterflies and Blooms collection and I added a looped bow from grosgrain ribbon and some paper clay flowers.

I hope you like it,

Lyon Wedding Themed Forever Moments Unit

Hello, to go alongside the Tonic Studios Forever Memories One Time Only Deals on Create and Craft at the moment, we, on the design team, have been decorating the lovely MDF units again.  Here's my take on the Lyon.  I themed this unit to be a wedding gift by covering with rose printed paper and adding some flourishes and flowers.  On the drawer fronts are the paper clay flowers.  You can also find the moulds and the clay on the shows.

Deco Geometric Damask Cameo Frames

Good morning,  where has our lovely weather gone :(  seems like we can get so much more done when the weather is nice.  After a busy weekend again,  I looked over my blog this morning only to find that a lot of my photo's have 'disappeared' yet again without me even deleting or moving anything from my computer.  That's another job for the list so if you need them they will be restored probably this evening.  Anyway, here's another card I made with the most recent dies released by Tonic Studios.  I made my own 8" x 8" cream card blank and layered with some monochrome damask paper and some pages from my beloved Pride and Prejudice book that I tore up for an earlier card (see post here http://craftydivacards.blogspot.co.uk/2015/02/pride-and-prejudice-and-entwining.html )  I covered the join with the Simplicity Victorian Border Punch and softly inked the edges of these pieces with my ink duster brush and an antique linen distress ink pad.

I cut the Deco Geometric shape in three sizes in cream, black and cream again.  The largest I stuck straight to the prepared card front and the other two I stuck together before using a smaller die to cut out the centre, I again inked this lightly as before to match.  It was possible to go through the two layers as they were both fairly thin.  I cut the Rococo Charlotte Cameo in black and added this to the cream base, placing foam pads on the back of the die cut cream and black frame and layering this centrally on top.

The Just For You was cut from the Pansy Topper Die Set and layered onto one of the smaller Deco shapes before being inked and stuck to the card with 3d foam pads.

The card was finished with a large black hand tied bow and some Ebony Black Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I hope you like it,

Sentiment Strip Dies - Golden Love

Another quick share for today as I'm waiting for the glue to dry on another project... lol

This was a card blank that I made to size for the dies I was using.  I scored an A4 sheet of single sided matt gold card lengthways along the half A5 line giving me a long folded card which I trimmed down to 8" in length.  I die cut the detail die out of the 'Love' set into the card front and stuck a sheet of vellum inside.  I die cut the outer edge and the detail die in a piece of cream card and stuck this in place on the top, lining the pieces up perfectly.  I inlaid the L, O, V and E from the gold pieces I had kept from cutting into the card blank along with the heart.  I added Buttermilk Nuvo Crystal Drops to the corners.

I glued another piece of matching matt gold the same 8" in length inside so that you don't see the back of the card exposed as it's only single sided, I cut one of the strips from the Twine Buckle Strip Die Set in cream and glued this to the edge, I added a couple of hearts and a bow to this with some Nuvo Metallic Bright Gold Crystal Drops.

For You - Teal Deco Geometric Layering Dies

Good Morning, a chilly one here in sunny South Wales due to the the eclipse, I took some photo's with my phone and it was projected to the side, really kind of cool :)

A simple A5 card blank today in white with a vibrant teal layer embossed with the Martha Embossing Folder.  I cut three frames, one larger than the other two with the new Deco Geometric Layering Dies, the larger central one being stuck with 3d foam pads, the other two stuck flat and a bow using the Large Dainty Bow Die Set the tails of which were threaded under and over the frames and finished off with a small daisy die cut from the Entwining Trellis Dainty Daisy Die Set.  The sentiment was one of the small ones from the Idyllics die set.  I aslo used some of the white Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I hope you like it

New Sentiment Strip Dies Hugs And Kisses

Here's one of the cards I made for the launch of the new Tonic Studios Sentiment Strip dies on Create and Craft.  For this card I have used the Hugs verso die set alongside the Pretoria Alphabet set.

I made my card blank from scratch by scoring and cutting two sheets of lilac pearlescent card to give me an offset gatefold.

I cut my layers for both sides of my card front from grey, lemon and the matching lilac pearlescent lining them up flush top and bottom but leaving a very small border showing either side.

For my main decorative panel, I die cut the outer edge die from the 'hugs' set in lemon and grey and cut the pattern die into the grey layer, gluing both of these together before mounting into 3d foam and sticking to the prepared card front.  For the lilac coloured detail in the flowers and hearts, I used the lilac Nuvo Crystal Drops and spread them gently into the small area using the tip.  I also added some to the flower centres.

For the small panel, I cut '& KISSES' from the Pretoria Alphabet die set in both lemon and grey, using the centres of the lemon die cuts and trimming the outer decorative swirls off the grey set so I just get the outline.  These were glued into place.

The card was quite simply finished off with some lilac Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I hope you like it,

Collectables - Art Nouveau Framed Bow

Hello followers and fellow crafters.  For today's Tonic Studios Design Team card I'd like to share a monochromatic Art Nouveau style card made with the Collectables.

I started off by making an 8" x 8" white card blank and layering with black.  I cut a smaller layer in white then once I had decided upon a size for my frame, I cut another black layer for underneath that.  To construct the central framed element I cut mu frame out of white using the layering dies, the black patterned backing was cut using the inner pattern die from the long border strip which I cut three times, I lined this up inside my frame and glued it down, trimming off any excess before mounting it on a square of silver mirror card.  This was then mounted onto the prepared card front.

I used one of the large corners to embellish the top of the card and die cut the 'someone special' wording in black, white and silver, layering them slightly offset.  The Rococo Beautiful Bow die was cut three times and layered by only gluing the very centre of the bow flat together and mounting it on 3d foam before adding a large clear gem.

The card was finished off with some white Nuvo Crystal Drops.

I hope you like it,

Collectables - Art Deco - Pretty Purple Patchwork

I made this card blank using purple pearlescent card.  I cut one sheet of card down to 10" x 8" and scored this at 2", this gave me my card back and my small side panel.  The next sheet I cut down to 7" x 8" and scored this one at 1" which I wrapped around my card back and secured in place with double sided tape giving me the larger front panel.

I layered the larger panel with white and another of the pearlescent purple, sticking them in place.  I cut the diamond shaped patchwork die four times in the shape of a large diamond and two of the large corners all out of a lighter lilac coloured pearlescent card.  These were also stuck to the larger panel.  The small border was layered and added to the centre of the diamond and some of the flowers from the Delicate Daisy Entwined Trellis die set were cut, shaped and layered together before being glued in place.  The debossed sentiment is from the Idyllics die set.

The smaller panel was decorated with the large border die cut in the lighter lilac shade.

The card was finished with some Nuvo crystal drops and a lovely hand tied bow.

I hope you like it,
