Today's post is a little triangular star card.
The reason I chose this design was because I wanted to showcase all of the Tonic Studios Decorative Envelope dies. I also used the Butterfly Purse Verso Corner die set. You'll have to bear with me as there are a lot of photos!
As you can see I made a 5 panel star card starting off with 5 6" x 6" square pieces of metallic gold textured card, I scored them from corner to corner diagonally, marking the square into 4 triangles, I then cut one of the triangles out almost completely but leaving a small flap for sticking.
After assembling the panels and getting them all the same way up, I scored the centre of what would be the base of the panel and folded into a mountain fold. Once they were all folded and stuck together I started die cutting the envelope panels onto white pearlescent paper. I didn't use the outer cutting edge, just the patterned triangle and trimmed around the actual die itself to get a straight edge that would fit.
I basically just added some gems to these panels to keep them simple.
These panels show that the RSVP can be left out.
Another use for the Butterfly Purse Corner with some mirri butterflies and gems.
Simply done again with some gems.
Once I had these panels decorated, I cut two triangles for the front and back in matching gold metallic card, added the ribbon and stuck the triangles in place, finishing off with a small white pearl triangle layered onto the back to write my message.
Quite bright, I know, but eye catching all the same, and a great alternative to envelope flaps :)
Hope you like it

And Another...
... This Time a Blingy Sister Card
I started off by making an 8" x 8" card by joining a few sheets of trimmed down A4 white card together.
I cut away the front by drawing around a large dinner plate on one corner of my card and repeating that with my turquoise pearlescent layer, keeping the cut off piece for the back exposed corner of the card.
Once I'd stuck my layer in place I cut some of the corners out of the Beautiful Bramble Frame die set and stuck them in place around the curved edge and also one one the exposed inside corner of the card.
I cut two scalloped silver squares and layered with white pearl card and as I love shoes and bags so it was a real treat using the Rococo Sassy Heels Die. I cut one from Turquoise and one from silver card and layered them. The same with the smaller corner from the Butterfly Purse Verso Corner Die set, layering the clasp over the top in silver and adding a tiny silver butterfly. I cut the Sister from a Tonic wording die in both silver and white and again, layered them, just offsetting slightly. This card was finished with a tonne of bling, lol. I stuck gems on the shoe, bag and butterfly to finish.
Very shiny but I hope you like it,

Tea Anyone?
Time just seems to be flying for me at the moment, I have managed to make a couple of cards but as for having the time for posting them on here, that's another story!
I've made this Accordian style card. I started off with an a4 sheet of Lilac embossed card and scored it at half fold, gate fold, turned it 180 degrees and scored the gate fold again, giving me three equally spaced score lines. I folded the middle one in a mountain fold and the ones either side in valley folds, giving me a 'W' effect. I then added an a5 sized piece of lilac gingham print card to the last folded section, giving me a longer card that still folds and fits into a c5 envelope.
For the Layers I used the Tonic Studios Voile Valance border punch both sides of a strip of lilac card with a thin ribbon running through the middle. I layered this onto white pearl paper before sticking it to the front panel. On the middle panel, I punched the Dotty Border Simplicity Pattern Punch, again on both sides but this time on a strip of white pearl paper, added a thin strip of lilac card and two lengths of ribbon. The back panel had one of the header dies from the Ornate Elegance set die cut onto a piece of lilac card four times and trimmed down before being layered onto some white pearl paper which had been punched either side with the Victorian Border Simplicity Pattern punch.
My decoration this time round was the fabulous Round Window Dies, again from Tonic Studios. I used Drink Me (the teacup) for the front, Pour Me (the teapot) for the middle and my greeting was With Love from the Pop Up Sentiments Range. All of these were layered onto a Scalloped circle which was cut in a darker Purple, complimenting the darker shade of ribbon, and stuck on with 3d foam for added depth.
I finished the card with a couple of hand tied bows and a few tiny pearls. Not an ounce of Mirri in sight... lol
Hope you like it,

Large Happy Birthday in Gold and White Pearl
At least this one photographed slightly better :)
This is an 8" x 8" white pearlescent card which I made up out of a few sheets of trimmed down A4.
I used the Tonic Studios header dies for the first time, this is a large layering mat made with the Garden Terrace Header Fold die set, I also made a gold layer for behind it. I used the Ivy Bridge Verso Corner die set to make the centre panel and cut some petals out of the Lily, Primrose and Corncockle Punch and stamp set. I know the stamp sets are designed to closely resemble actual flowers but I just use what I need from them to make a flower that matches the style of my card. Add a ribbon, bow and some gems and this was a really simple card to put together.

Rainbow Mirror & White Wedding/Anniversary Card
I've decided that there's no way on earth you can photograph rainbow mirror card.
I made this card using Tonic Studios embossing folder, dies and punches. Its a 6" x 6" card, I cut the front of the card off diagonally then added a square of acetate and covered the bottom part of the card up to neaten it on the inside. I embossed some rainbow mirror card with the Tonic Studios Roseanna embossing folder. I punched some borders with the Tonic Victorian Simplicity punch and added to the exposed edge of the acetate sheet.
The central embellishment was made from the Square Vines Base Affections die set and instead of just die cutting the smaller heart from the First Crush Affections die set, I ran it through as if I was just embossing it as I only wanted some texture on it, I didn't want the inner pattern cut out. I added some Petal Pairs flowers, a couple of die cut hearts (from the middle of a wording die) and a beautiful Intrica punched butterfly. I finished the whole thing off with some self adhesive pearls.
I hope you like it :)

Hello
My first post. Nothing philosophical to say just saying hello and to tell you what this blog is about.
I love making cards. I love die cutting. I love making cards from die cuts :)
I will be using mainly Tonic Studios Dies so I'd better get on the Tonic Studios website and find out the names of the dies I have so I can let you know what I'm using. I've pretty much thrown out all the packaging :/
When I get a minute I'll be photographing some of my cards and making some new ones too.
Watch this space : )
