Star Card

Today's post is a little triangular star card.

The reason I chose this design was because I wanted to showcase all of the Tonic Studios Decorative Envelope dies.  I also used the Butterfly Purse Verso Corner die set.  You'll have to bear with me as there are a lot of photos!
As you can see I made a 5 panel star card starting off with 5 6" x 6" square pieces of metallic gold textured card, I scored them from corner to corner diagonally, marking the square into 4 triangles, I then cut one of the triangles out almost completely but leaving a small flap for sticking.
After assembling the panels and getting them all the same way up, I scored the centre of what would be the base of the panel and folded into a mountain fold.  Once they were all folded and stuck together I started die cutting the envelope panels onto white pearlescent paper.  I didn't use the outer cutting edge, just the patterned triangle and trimmed around the actual die itself to get a straight edge that would fit.
I basically just added some gems to these panels to keep them simple.
These panels show that the RSVP can be left out.
Another use for the Butterfly Purse Corner with some mirri butterflies and gems.
Simply done again with some gems.
Once I had these panels decorated, I cut two triangles for the front and back in matching gold metallic card, added the ribbon and stuck the triangles in place, finishing off with a small white pearl triangle layered onto the back to write my message.

Quite bright, I know, but eye catching all the same, and a great alternative to envelope flaps :)

Hope you like it
