Plush Peony Quilted Panel Card

As you should be aware, embossing a cutting die is one of my most favourite things to do.  I pretty much do this with every set of dies that is released and this set was no exception.

I made an ivory A5 card blank out of some really thick satin finish card, I layered some pearlescent lilac card over the top which I embossed with the Martha Embossing Folder, I added two die cut flourishes from the Trailing Blossom die set in a darker contrasting purple.  Out of the thick ivory card, I cut the outer edges of the Plush Peony Entwining Trellis die set before quilting it instead of cutting it out.   This is done by embossing the die cut with the die embossing plate and rubber mat rather than using the cutting plate.  This was layered onto the card front with 3d foam pads.  I cut out each of the flowers in both the dark purple and lilac, curving them lightly before layering together and sticking to the quilted panel.  I used a greeting from the Idyllics die set which I layered and stuck in place with 3d foam and added a small hand tied bow.  I finished this card off with some Nuvo Metallic Silver Lining Crystal Drops.

I hope you like it,

    1. Thanks Jane, you need a nice thick card and I tend to put it in the centre of my plates where the pressure isn't so great. Hope this helps xx
