Plush Peony Trellis Panel With Love

For today's Tonic Studios DT card share I decided to share a different flower as I seem to have favoured the Bellus Buttercup.  Today I'm using the Plush Peony Entwining Trellis Die Set along with some older dies I had in my collection.

I started off by making my own 8" x 8" card blank out of a couple of sheets of cream pearlescent card which I then layered with a matt gold and a brown card.  My top layer was cream pearlescent again but before sticking this one in place I embossed it with the Amelia embossing folder.

I cut the trellis outer edges by selecting the die that would meet in the middle to take my panel out of my cardstock completely, I then cut this in brown as a backing piece, cutting the little swirls off the make it easier to line up.  I then cut the same panel in matt gold, cutting the pattern die out and then embossing it to raise the pattern in the leaves, I then stuck this in place with 3d foam pads.  I cut two of each size of flower, inked the edges with my Vintage Photo Distress Ink Pad and an Inkylicious Ink Duster.  To shape the flowers I used the Floral Crafters Tool Kit, take the largest ball tool that will fit the petal,  turn each flower over on the mat and gently curve it, if you want more of a curve, keep coming down a size in the ball tools until you are happy with the result.  For these I stuck the two flowers of the same size together and glued each of them to their specific spot on the trellis.  I made the centres with my glue gun and the Nuvo Pure Sheen Glitter in copper by squeezing a small amount of hot glue out in a 'jelly tot' size onto my glass mat and quickly covered in glitter, leave these to cool and using your Craft Pick gently ease them off and glue them into the centres of the flowers.

For my sentiment I cut the Indulgence Regal Frame outer edge in brown and matt gold, then cut the pattern into the matt gold layer and embossed it and layered these together.  I swapped the centre panel for the 'with love' panel from the Swirly Frame which I cut in cream pearlescent card and layered on top, I stuck this in place on my card front with 3d foam pads and added a double looped bow.  I finished off with a few tiny beads of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bright Gold.

I hope you like this,
