Jasmine Sunset And Ornate Ovals Layering Die Sets

Hello, I hope you are braving this awful weather we are experiencing at the moment, best place to be is at home, crafting :)

Today I wanted to share a card I made using dies from the long weekender on Create and Craft, I can see these dies having a lot of use due to the sheer size of them.  They are perfect for cutting your base cards as well as adding layers with the smaller ones.

To Make a Side Stepper Card

Using the largest outside edge die in the set, I cut my folded A3 card leaving a join.  I scored the right side of my card blank from the edge up to almost half way by settling the centre fold of my card into the 7 1/2" groove then scoring at 1 1/2", 2 1/2", 5", you already have a 7 1/2" score line, and 11" I then cut along the centre score lines from 1 1/2" straight through to 11" and starting with a mountain fold, crease each of the score lines so that your card folds and stands up.

I cut the largest again out of light blue and black, adding the detail into the light blue layer.  This was trimmed to size to just cover the front of the card and not the folds.  I added a small piece of card I punched using a flowery border punch just to tie the side steps in before decorating them with some silhouette Rococo Fairy dies.

I die cut the Ornate Oval frame dies in black and white, adding the detail to the black layer, then made a frame with the laurel leaf layer in blue and white to add on top.  I die cut a sentiment to put in the centre of this and finished my card off with lots of Nuvo Crystal Drops, white for the main card layer and black for the frame.

I hope this explains well enough how I managed to achieve this, if not, by all means let me know in the comments and I will get back to you :)

Thanks for looking
